Shari Simon Greenberg Community Scholarship

The Shari Simon Greenberg Community Scholarship of the Simon Youth Foundation supports graduating seniors who live in a Simon mall community through one-time scholarships.
Scholarship recipients are eligible for a one-time scholarship of up to $1,500 (based on available funding), with one scholarship awarded at each Simon center.
In addition, the top-ranking applicants selected in Simon communities will be eligible for the Award of Excellence, which is a renewable scholarship awarded to one student in eligible Simon regions.
To be eligible, applicants must:
A) Be a high school senior attending school and living in a Simon® community, and planning to graduate by Spring 2022.
B) Be a legal U.S. resident.
C) Plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational/technical school in Fall 2022.
D) Demonstrate academic promise and financial need.
Applicants will be evaluated based on academic promise, financial need, written response, work experience and community/extracurricular involvement.
What are the details of the award?
A) Scholarships in the amount of up to $1,500 (based on available funding), one at each Simon® property, will be awarded annually and are not renewable.
B) The scholarships will be applied to tuition, fees, books, supplies and equipment required for course load at accredited, nonprofit two- or four-year colleges/universities in the United States, Canada or Puerto Rico.
C) Students may transfer from one institution to another and retain the award.
D) The top-ranking applicants in selected Simon® regions will be considered for the Award of Excellence. One Award of Excellence Scholarship of up to$2,500 (based on available funding) will be given per eligible region. Only this award is renewable.
E) Scholarships may not be applied to room and board and cannot be used to purchase a laptop if not required for all students attending the institution or course.
