ERC Application Information

Eligibility Requirements (General ERC Application)
1. Heritage
- Applicant must have Korean ancestry (for example: a Korean parent, grandparent, or great-grandparent) or be adopted from Korea.
2. Enrollment
- Must be enrolled full-time at an institution located in one of these Eastern region jurisdictions for the entire 2026–2027 academic year: Delaware, District of Columbia, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, or West Virginia.
3. Academic Standing
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required.
4. Financial Need
- Applicant must be able to demonstrate a need for financial assistance.
KWVD Scholarship — Specific Criteria
1. Heritage
- Applicants must be direct descendants of a Korean War veteran who served in Korea between June 25, 1950 and January 31, 1955 (the Korean War Era as defined by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs).
2. Enrollment
- Same enrollment requirement as above: full-time attendance at a school in one of the designated Eastern region jurisdictions for the full 2026–2027 school year.
