About the scholarship Attorneys Jason Power and Jonathan Barber, who have navigated the path of building businesses themselves, appreciate both the obstacles and rewards of entrepreneurship. To support the next generation of founders, they are offering the 2026 Franchise. Law Entrepreneur Scholarship. This $1,000 award is intended to recognize students with bold ideas and the determination to bring those ideas to life.
What we’re looking for We want to hear about the business you hope to create, how you plan to compete or innovate in the marketplace, and why this particular idea matters to you personally. Applicants should articulate a clear vision and demonstrate the drive to turn that vision into a viable venture.
Who is eligible To qualify, applicants must:
- Be legal residents of the United States living in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia.
- Be one of the following: a current high school senior, a student enrolled in a vocational program, an undergraduate college student, or a graduate student.
Academic and employment requirements
- Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and be in good academic standing at their school.
- The following are not eligible: employees of Franchise. Law, their immediate family members (defined as parent, child, sibling, or spouse), and anyone residing in the same household as those employees (regardless of relation).
