2026 Scholarship Overview
Eligibility
- Open to all Alaska junior and senior high school students who intend to pursue college or vocational training.
Awards
- $3,000 — First Place
- $2,000 — Second Place
- $1,500 — Third Place
- $1,000 — 4-H/FFA/Vendor Award / Dependents of Fair Members
- Four (4) $500 Special Recognition Awards
- One (1) $500 Honorable Mention
Note: Every applicant who submits a complete application will receive two complimentary admissions to the 2026 Alaska State Fair (August 21–September 7, 2026).
Application Requirements
Submit the following items with your application:
- Cover letter explaining why you are a strong candidate; include your full name, mailing address, phone number, email address, school name and phone number, your school counselor’s name, and the college or vocational school you plan to attend.
- Extracurricular resume listing interests, clubs, community service, and/or employment.
- One (1) letter of recommendation.
- A photograph (may be used for publicity).
- Either a written essay (maximum 1,000 words) OR a creative project. Acceptable creative formats include audio, video, performance, visual arts, business plans, social media campaigns, arts & crafts, photography, etc. Note: DVDs and external hard drives will not be accepted.
Video Submission Instructions
- Upload videos to your own online account (YouTube, Instagram, or another hosting service) and provide the video URL on the application submission page.
