Intro
First Tee – Connecticut offers a number of scholarships exclusively for young people who are active within the local chapter. Summaries of each available award appear below. Completed applications must be received at the First Tee – Connecticut office by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026. Submissions may be sent by mail, fax or email. Scholarship recipients will be informed no later than Monday, June 15, and a formal public announcement will take place during Travelers Championship week in late June.
Background
Since the scholarship program began in 2006, First Tee – Connecticut has distributed more than $500,000 in awards. Funding has come from sources including the Andrew K. Dwyer Foundation, the Connecticut Student Loan Foundation, and scholarships given in memory of Donald E. Vacheron.
Eligibility (Qualifications)
- Be a student (elementary, middle, high school, or college) for the Fall 2026 term
- Be enrolled in a school that requires paid tuition
- Have participated in First Tee – Connecticut programming (as a participant, coach, or volunteer) for at least one year
- Demonstrate involvement in school or community activities
- Maintain grades appropriate for your current school and grade level
- Provide essay responses as part of the application
Submission and Timeline
- Deadline: Completed applications must arrive at First Tee – Connecticut’s office by 4:00 p.m., Friday, May 15, 2026

- Notification: All selected recipients will be notified by Monday, June 15, and winners will be announced publicly during Travelers Championship week in late June
