Texas Baptists Hispanic Education
Scholarship Sponsored by Texas Baptists Hispanic Education
Each year, Texas Baptists Hispanic Education secures scholarship funding through the Hispanic Education Banquet and by soliciting gifts from individuals and organizations. Those resources make it possible to grant scholarships to qualifying students who submit an application and are chosen through a selection process.
Eligibility and award details:
- Who may apply: Degree-seeking students of any age.
- Award amounts: Students enrolled full time are eligible for a one-time $1,000 scholarship; part-time students are eligible for a one-time $500 scholarship. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the college, university, or seminary where the recipient is registered.
- Enrollment requirement: Applicants must be currently enrolled in, or plan to enroll in, a degree program at a university or seminary affiliated with Texas Baptists by the Fall semester of 2026.
- Church membership: The applicant must be an active member of a Baptist General Convention of Texas (Texas Baptists) church that makes regular financial contributions to the convention.
- Ministry service: Applicants must be actively serving in a Hispanic-related ministry within their congregation at the time of application.
- Duration limit: Recipients may not receive this scholarship for more than three consecutive years.
- Application process: Applications are accepted only via the online application system; paper submissions will not be considered.
