Introduction
The MITER Foundation Scholarship exists to help ease the cost of continuing education for graduating high school seniors who plan to pursue postsecondary studies. Our goal is to support students who show strong motivation and a desire to make a positive impact in their communities.
Who we seek
As an organization that prizes enthusiasm and initiative, we welcome applicants who are committed to making a difference. We encourage students entering any field—examples include nursing, welding, education, finance, criminal justice, art, carpentry, physics, and mechanics—to apply. Equally important to us is a spirit of giving back; the MITER Foundation grew from our dedication to our communities and to one another, and we feel a continuing responsibility to support current and future generations.
Award details
One hundred (100) scholars will each receive a $1,000 award. Winners will be selected by the MITER Foundation Scholarship Committee.
Eligibility and requirements
- Must be a graduating high school senior planning to enroll in postsecondary education (college, university, trade school, certificate program, etc.).
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Applicants must submit the required application materials and an essay addressing the prompts.
Selection criteria
Recipients will be chosen based on their application answers and essay submissions. Special emphasis will be placed on candidates’ demonstrated passion for volunteerism and the overall quality and content of their essays. The MITER Foundation Scholarship Committee will evaluate submissions and select the students who best reflect a commitment to learning and to positively serving their communities.
